Ambleside Online was created by homeschool moms to help other families work through what a Charlotte Mason education looked like. Ambleside Online has worked to create a curriculum in order to give you the option of teaching what Charlotte Mason believed comprised a classical education such as Bible, Art appreciation, Music appreciation, Nature study, Poetry, Copywork, and more. Many of the extras are able to be taught across multiple ages making it a good option for large families. The curriculum also includes Nature study, Geography, History, and more. Exams are also included for each year.
The books on the book lists for each year are either available for free online or for download OR can be found at major retailers. Substitutions can also be made for books that are more readily available in your area. Canadian adaptations have been put together as well.
Parents are encouraged to find a Math curriculum they prefer for use with Ambleside Online.
