History Odyssey takes a story approach to learning history, integrating classical literature with fun activities in a study guide format. This curriculum is designed in two levels that span grades 6-12. (Their elementary program is History Quest.)
Level Two (which is the first level of History Odyssey) includes four years of curriculum which covers Ancient history to Modern Times. This curriculum is available in ebook format with downloadable activity sheets or in print form.
The goal of this level is to help students start moving towards independent learning. Students will start to read classical literature on their own. There is also a large timeline that you can do with your student as you make your way through the program.
In Level Three, – the advanced / high school level courses, the student will be prepared for entry into college with much more difficult assignments focused on writing and research. There are currently two courses available for this level: Ancients and Middle Ages (however, as of this post – 2022 – it looks like it’s being updated.)
Blackline maps are also included in this curriculum, making Geography a part of the curriculum.
