Created by a homeschool graduate, Story Quest Academy aims to making writing fun and engaging. There are two courses available – first, Adventure Quest, and second, Mystery Quest.
Each course appeals to the five different learning styles Auditory, Verbal, Visual, Logical, and Kinesthetic as well as the different types of writers: Planners and Explorers. It includes worksheets, drawing and hands-on activities.
These self-paced courses include both reading – in a book club sort of format, and creative writing. There are side quests and there is even a homeschool group they can connect with.
Parents can use the resource center for clues on how to evaluate their children’s work, or they can choose to purchase the option of having someone else critique their student’s work. There are also bonus activities and extras listed for parents to help them make the experience more engaging.
